LESSON DURATION GUIDELINES
20-Minute Lessons
Designed primarily for very young students, typically ages 4–6, first-time beginners, or students with a limited attention span. These shorter sessions focus on building basic musical awareness, introducing fundamental skills, and developing positive learning habits. They are generally not recommended for intermediate, advanced, or exam-preparation students.

30-Minute Lessons
Suitable for young beginners, developing students, and students with a busy schedule. A 30-minute lesson provides enough time to develop technique, repertoire, and musical understanding while maintaining a manageable lesson length. It is particularly suitable for beginners and early-stage learners, although the recommended duration may vary depending on the student’s age, level, instrument, and learning goals.

45-Minute Lessons
The standard recommended duration for most school-age and intermediate students. This format provides sufficient time to work effectively on technique, repertoire, musicianship, and structured progression without rushing the lesson. It is also suitable for students preparing for graded examinations at many levels.

60-Minute Lessons
Recommended for advanced students, higher-grade exam preparation, competition preparation, auditions, pre-professional students, and students requiring intensive repertoire and technical development. The additional time allows for more detailed technical work, repertoire development, performance practice, and focused preparation for specific musical goals.
Recommended duration may vary according to the student’s age, level, instrument, learning objectives, and teacher’s professional recommendation.
